Like an old friend
Got to go and debut the new cane rod on a special little river, the first one I caught a trout in, it was a little like visiting an old friend. We also tried a spot that we hadn't been to before as well.
Totalled 16 for the day, about 11 on one fly (a Muz Wilson Wee Creek Hopper) and the rest on a red Stimulator. Blake managed about 13 or so, we both totalled around 30 for the day. They ranged from 4" to 13", the most satisfying coming from a sipper under a gorse bush, the biggest coming from a pool near the car near dark.
The G.
The rod loads nice...
Pulled a couple from this spot.
The lucky debutante, the first for the new rod
The biggest for the day, 13" late in the day, gave the rod a good work out, the best I've seen come from the river so far...
Getting his breath back after the release.
